PLC dress code
at college/during gym sessions
On general College days our Powerhouse post 16 pupils can wear their own casual clothing.
We ask that families bear in mind what is appropriate sensible casual wear as throughout the day the class may be working in the community, at Get Cooking, taking part in a kitchen session or on a Work Related Learning Placement.
If learners are taking part in external work placements our team will be in touch around work place expectations, if learners are ready to they may bring their uniforms home to wash, iron and prepare for their next placement.
Mint Class our employability learners are expected to wear smart top, trousers and shoes Mondays and Tuesdays whilst taking part in their employability lessons.
We ask that our pupils avoid wearing :
Shoes that may prevent walking comfortably and open toe shoes
Revealing clothing
We would ask families of our young people to support them to check the weather the night before College and support them to decide the correct clothing for each day.
Work related Learning
We support our pupils to develop their independence in a wide range of placements. When our We support our pupils to develop their independence in a wide range of internal and external placements. When our pupils are on placement we support them to understand the need to adhere to work place standards.
