Learning to Love is West SILC’s PSHCE curriculum, bringing together Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education. Its overall intent is to help every learner develop a positive sense of self, communicate their needs and choices, build safe and respectful relationships, understand boundaries and consent, and become as safe, confident and independent as possible. Learning is highly personalised to developmental stage, communication needs and lived experience, recognising that meaningful outcomes will look very different for individual learners, while safeguarding, dignity, equality and preparation for adulthood remain central throughout.
