This pathway is for learners with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. It supports students on short-term placements, those permanently excluded, or those awaiting specialist provision via EHCP assessment. Guided by the values Attend, Engage, Achieve, the AIP re-engages pupils through personalised, pupil-led interventions that build confidence, resilience, and academic progress. The curriculum follows the Head, Heart, Feet framework, focusing on cognitive learning, emotional development, and active engagement, with strong emphasis on literacy, regulation, and practical life skills.

POST 16: powerhouse life changing (plc)
Pupils aged 16 - 19 (Y12 - Y14)
The Powerhouse Site is designed to be inclusive, forward-thinking facilities that prepare young people for adulthood and independence. Our young people benefit from the unique surrounds at Springfield Commercial Centre in Farsley. There are several buildings – HQ, The Core, Get Cooking; The Hub; and the Studio. With direct access to local employers and the community our pupils develop their Functional Skills preparing them to be independent learners. Learning takes place in specialist simulated environments – including a fully operational catering kitchen; Ikea home and store; The Hub (independent living skills) - providing hands on, real-world experiences boasting a post office, a hotel room, a supermarket and a travel centre.
The Foundry (employment skills) is a further site on the PLC pathway is based at Sunnybank Mills in Farsley. This is specifically designed to prepare our young people for the world of work and includes a range of simulations to prepare them for placements - an Amazon warehouse; barista station; bar; Nando’s style restaurant; office environment and a job centre.
